I’m hoping to improve the lighting in my garage without having to completely drywall and cover the ceiling (a project for another time). I’m quite comfortable doing the wiring for an install but can’t find proper lights.

All the LED cans I have seen either require either a drywall ceiling (a renovation can, where you punch a hole through and the can rests flush on the drywall) or a new construction can that requires parallel struts close enough to screw into. The supports aren’t close enough for that option, I don’t think. Is there an option that would let me just screw the can into the side of an existing support?
